Last week, "NBC Nightly News" host Brian Williams apologized for claiming for many years that he had been in a military helicopter forced to land amidst enemy fire in Iraq in 2003. In his apology, he said that he had actually been in the helicopter behind the one that was shot at, and had somehow "conflated" the two memories.
