“Everything is Awesome” injected some much needed energy into the Oscars telecast

Tonight the Lonely Island teamed up with Tegan and Sara for a jubilant performance of “Everything is Awesome,” their Oscar-nominated song from the (tragically snubbed!) “Lego Movie.” A frenetic spectacle complete with rainbows, construction workers, Questlove, a possum, the awarding of Lego oscars, and Will Arnett in a Batman suit, it was exactly the injection of energy the tepid telecast needed.
