Keep it classy, senator

South Carolina senator and noted dreamboat Lindsey Graham poked fun at House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi's appearance on Tuesday, delivering the sexist jab following Pelosi's criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's congressional address this morning.

While Netanyahu's criticisms of the multilateral negotiations aimed at curtailing Iran's nuclear program met with roaring Republican applause, Pelosi and other Democrats declined to clap at certain points, as when Netanyahu urged Congress to block a nuclear deal. Pelosi later issued a statement in which she said that she was "near tears throughout the Prime Minister’s speech — saddened by the insult to the intelligence of the United States as part of the P5 +1 nations, and saddened by the condescension toward our knowledge of the threat posed by Iran and our broader commitment to preventing nuclear proliferation."

"Did you see Nancy Pelosi on the floor? Complete disgust," Graham told a group of political donors after the speech, per Bloomberg's Josh Rogin. “If you can get through all the surgeries, there’s disgust.”

The ever-classy Graham -- who's been floating a 2016 presidential bid -- came under fire earlier this year after he asking anti-abortion activists at the March for Life to help “find a way out of this definitional problem with rape.”
