Which is all to say: It just makes sense that Kotb would appear on Spike’s new “Lip Sync Battle” show Thursday night and lend her “journalist-gone-wild” brand to Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.” “OMG! That. Was. So. Much. Fun,” Kotb shrieks at the end of her performance, like your mom who chaperoned the high school dance and embarrassed you in front of all your friends.
