According to TMZ, Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June Shannon has threatened to sue TLC for the way the network is handling the sexual abuse scandal currently enveloping "19 Kids and Counting” star Josh Duggar.

"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" was pulled from the air last October hours after it was revealed that Shannon was dating registered sex offender Mark McDaniel, who pled guilty to aggravated child molestation (for abusing Shannon's daughter Anna, now an adult) and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. McDaniel and Shannon reportedly reunited last year, and the outcry prompted TLC to cancel the show.

Yet TLC has yet to cancel “19 Kids and Counting” — indeed, they aired a marathon Thursday night — following news that Josh Duggar was accused of sexually assaulting five young girls when he was a teenager. Duggar issued a confession in People Magazine yesterday, saying "Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret." He also resigned from his position as director of the right-wing Family Research Council.

According to TMZ, "Mama June" is angry at what she views as inconsistent treatment from the network, claiming that TLC's decision to axe her show cost her hundreds of thousands of dollars and saying that she plans to sue if the Duggars remain on air. "I read that the Duggar family said, this happening with their son brought them closer to God and each other. So they're saying it's ok to have family touch time? Hell no,” says June.

Leaving aside the skin-crawling phrase ‘family touch time,’ June has a point; what reason would TLC have to keep "19 Kids and Counting" on air, if similar circumstances have prompted the network to cancel another show?
