Rachel Dolezal steps down as president of NAACP Spokane chapter

Rachel Dolezal announced that she will be stepping down from her role as president of NAACP's Spokane chapter Monday morning.

Dolezal was elected president of the local NAACP chapter only six months ago.

“In the eye of this current storm, I can see that a separation of family and organizational outcomes is in the best interest of the NAACP,” Rachel Dolezal wrote in a statement posted to Facebook.
