Raven Symoné and Martin Luther King III Honor Gay Civil Rights Leader at Logo’s “Trailblazer Honors”

Tune-in for the Largest Televised LGBT Pride Event This Saturday, June 27

Published June 26, 2015 4:01AM (EDT)

Tomorrow, Martin Luther King III and Raven Symoné will make history by honoring openly gay civil rights leader Bayard Rustin during Logo’s “Trailblazer Honors.” Rustin was an openly gay civil rights leader and a close confidant to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Despite his role in organizing the 1963 March on Washington, Rustin was largely erased from the history books because he was openly gay.

The second annual Logo “Trailblazer Honors” also features performances by Adam Lambert as well as Jack Antonoff and his band Bleachers. Tyler Posey, Laura Jane Grace, Samira Wiley, Kelly Osbourne, Jason Collins and many more will be on hand to honor LGBT pioneers at the forefront of the march to equality. The largest televised LGBT Pride event will also feature special appearances from Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Sir Ian McKellen, Billy Porter and Geena Rocero, among others, who will speak out about the future of the LGBT movement.

For more details visit the Logo "Trailblazer Honors" site.

Additional honorees include Judy & Dennis Shepard, Iranian LGBT activist Arsham Parsi and, along with PFLAG National, ‘Trailblazing Parents.’

The star-studded event premieres Saturday, June 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Logo.
