One America News Network's Tomi Lahren appeared on "Fox & Friends" this morning to defend her rant against the Obama administration and its policy of "being friendly to the jihadi mentality."
In what was clearly intended as an audition tape for the role of Fox News' next blonde anchor, Lahren spoke in front a green screen bedazzled with rotating images of patriotic offerings about the many failings of the Obama administration.
"Four Marines are now dead," she began. "Climate change didn’t kill them, lack of free community college didn’t kill them, the income gap, wage inequality? Nope, not those things either. Gay marriage? Nope. White racism? Not that either. So what did? President Obama, if you won’t say it, I will -- radical Islam."
Wearing her most serious face, Lahren said that radical Islam has become "the rule, not the exception," and that "yesterday's moderate is becoming today's terrorist." For the record, she was describing Muslims there, not conservatives, though as her rant and Donald Trump's poll numbers demonstrate, that particular logic is easily applicable.
"Let's show them what the United States looks like up-close and personal -- a B-1 bomber flying overhead," she said. "Put the fear of God in their desert, because clearly our lack of strategy isn't working."
On "Fox & Friends," resident genius Brian Kilmeade asked her why "this resonated so clearly with America." She replied that she's merely saying what all real Americans are thinking "at the dinner table, I'm just the one who came out and said it on a platform."
