As the saying goes: Shoot for the moon because even if you fall you may land among the cast of "Dancing With the Stars."
Announcing that he'd be joining the unsinkable ABC franchise for its 21st season, Gary Busey arrived at the set of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Tuesday night sidesaddle and covered in sequins.
His motivation for joining "Dancing With the Stars" is an inspiring one, sure to make even the most soulless among us a little misty: "I didn't have anything else to do."
Busey joins previously announced American treasures Paula Deen and Nick Carter for the Sept. 14 season premier.
