Magazine covers featuring Kim Kardashian tend to ignite their fair share of controversy, and the cover of this month’s Cosmopolitan is no exception.
Specifically, not everyone was happy with the magazine’s decision to dub the ladies of the Kardashian-Jenner clan (minus Caitlyn) “America’s First Family” on the front of their October issue.
Many Twitter users found the photo disrespectful to America’s real first family, although there is an argument to be made that the photo isn’t offensive, merely premature — Kanye doesn’t take office until 2020, after all.
Here’s what people are saying:
Sorry Cosmo, there's only one First Family of America & it ain't the Kardashians.#CosmoFail pic.twitter.com/Su7p51ylqN

I find that silly and offensive. I think we should be proud of the REAL First Family we have right now not them. L pic.twitter.com/1AnRiew7k9

Me as I watch @Cosmopolitan get dragged for calling the Kardashians "America's First Family." pic.twitter.com/4dTKJOE1r2
