Carrie Brownstein, will you marry us?

Last night, during a Q&A for Brownstein’s new memoir “Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl” at a Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, moderated by Amy Poehler, a young couple raised their hand and asked if Brownstein — who was recently ordained to perform weddings — would marry them on the spot.

Naturally, Brownstein was game for the challenge. According to her publicist, Poehler grabbed a handful of flowers from the stage and handed it to the two women, Kendall Oshiro and Genevieve Hernandez, then launched into a spirited, if shaky version of "Greensleeves" on the church piano.

"Amy was visibly excited and shocked, and turned to Carrie [and said] 'You gotta do it!'” a source told US Weekly. "The crowd cheered and applauded wildly.”

Brownstein, meanwhile, gave a gorgeous off-the-cuff speech, declaring "In the way that we always root for ourselves, in the way that we root for love to always win out over despair, for hope to win out over fear, all of us here are rooting for you.”
