"Nightly Show" host Larry Wilmore last night weighed in on the blooming feud between GOP has-been Mitt Romney and GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.
On Romney's "very, very not smart" half-burn at his impromptu Trump-roast in Utah yesterday morning, Wilmore said, "That's cussing for a Mormon."
And Romney's attempt at beating Trump at his own game proved as uneven a fight as everyone predicted when Donald took to the stage in Maine a few hours later to respond, in a word, characteristically. Trump said Romney was "begging" for his endorsement in 2012, and that Mitt would would "dropped to his knees" had Donald commanded him to.
"This can't mean what it sounds like, right?" Wilmore responded, bringing out Ricky Velez for further analysis.
Velez confirmed, "He means that Romney would suck his dick, man."
Wilmore said he agreed with Romney that Trump has no business being on the trail, but reminded Mitt that his jockeying for the Trump stamp of approval brought this monster into the political arena.
"You're the one who opened your big mouth and got in bed with the devil," Wilmore told Romney. "Now he just wants you to keep that mouth open."
