"Nightly Show" host Larry Wilmore led off Monday night's show with his popular segment, "Blacklash 2016: The Unblackening."

Wilmore dissected Sunday's Democratic debate in Flint, Michigan, to gain further insight into "the effort to de-negro-fy the White House."

"It was a very spirited debate focusing on the important issues of the day," Wilmore explained. "But it got just a little squirmy when it came to the issue of race."

"If it's a blindspot, how would they know?" Wilmore said, regarding Don Lemon's self-contradictory question to the candidates about racial blindspots, which Sanders answered with his headline-grabbing "ghetto" gaffe.

"Did you just say all black people are poor and live in ghettos?" Wilmore added. "I think I just found your racial blindspot, dude."
