"Late Show" host Stephen Colbert last night profiled the myriad ways Donald Trump has put the camp back in campaign.

Trump's Dracula-looking adviser, Paul Manafort, told MSNBC that his candidate is running "the ultimate reality show," adding, "We put it in ways that we hope will be entertaining but, more importantly, informative."

"And one of the ways Donald Trump is treating the convention like a reality show is holding off announcing his running mate," Colbert explained.

An unnamed Trump "campaign source" recently told Politico, "Announcing the vice-presidential nominee before the convention is like announcing the winner of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ before the final show is on the air."

"It's an apt metaphor," Colbert added. "Because this year's Republican convention will be the series finale of America."
