Seth Meyers praises Clinton's "historic" primary victory: "A breakthrough for women and girls everywhere"

Meyers gives credit where credit is due on "Late Night" as Clinton clinches the Democratic presidential nomination

"Late Night" host Seth Meyers last night took a "Closer Look" at presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's clinching said nomination.

"Hillary Clinton won four of the six contests [Tuesday] night," Meyers explained, "and secured a majority of pledged delegates, winning at least three million more votes than Bernie Sanders in becoming the Democrat's presumptive nominee for president."

"Let's take a moment to acknowledge how truly historic this is. A woman has never before been the presidential nominee of a major party in this country," he continued. "Regardless of who you support or how you feel about Hillary Clinton, it's a remarkable feat and a breakthrough for women and girls everywhere."
