"Late Night" host Seth Meyers last night took a "Closer Look" at Republicans' increasing disdain for their nominee, Donald Trump.

Meyers noted a recent Washington Post-ABC News poll that found approximately 70% of Americans have an unfavorable view of Trump. Meanwhile, 55% view Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton unfavorably.

"So for a lot of Americans, this election is a choice between two terrible options," Meyers said. "It's like going to the break room and seeing the only snacks left are half a plain doughnut and a racist."

Republicans are so terrified of a President Trump that they're raising money to effectively buyout his campaign. In Phoenix last weekend, Trump joked that he would "have to think about" a $5 billion offer for his leaving the race.

"Based on everything I've read in 'Art of the Deal,' I'm thinking we could put this thing to bed for 2.2 [or] 2.3 billion dollars," Meyers continued. "And I'm being serious, I think we could get Mexico to pay for that."
