Report: Sean Hannity flew Newt Gingrich on private jet to Trump VP audition

Hannity — who said he "wouldn't be happy with anyone but Newt" — is putting his money where his mouth is, says CNN

Fox News host Sean Hannity might have a larger role in GOP nominee Donald Trump's veepstakes than we'd thought.

According to a CNN report, Hannity flew former-House Speaker Newt Gingrich on a private jet to Indianapolis on Wednesday to meet with Trump for "late-stage meetings with his VP finalists."

During his eponymous TV show Tuesday night, Hannity said he "wouldn't be happy with anyone but Newt."

Gingrich reportedly requested the in-person meeting. Trump's also met with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, according to CNN.

Hannity did not deny the allegations in a set of tweets sent Wednesday night:
