"Trump is digging his own grave": Seth Meyers urges Obama, Clinton to "stay out of" Trump's implosion

On "Late Night," Meyers pleads with Dems to let Trump "keep digging until the hole is too deep to climb out of"

"Late Night" host Seth Meyers introduced a new pop-up segment called "Stay Out of It," wherein he told President Obama and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton to — you guessed it — stay out of GOP nominee Donald Trump's nearly twice-daily gaffe cycle.

"Trump is digging his own grave," Meyers said. "Don't grab the shovel. Let him keep digging until the hole is too deep to climb out of."

In a joint press conference with Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong, Obama called Trump "woefully unprepared" to serve as president, and asked top GOP officials, "Why are you still endorsing him?"

"This is partly our fault," Meyers added. "We as a society have become way more interested in the sideshow than the show. We don't want trains pulling safely into stations; we want train wrecks."

"If Donald Trump wants to implode, just let it happen," he continued. "When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. When life hands your opponent lemons, stay out of it."
