Netflix released the first full-length trailer for "Luke Cage" on Wednesday, and to put it politely, it does not shy away from the issues dominating recent domestic headlines.

The latest season of "Daredevil" dealt with police corruption, but didn't directly address -- either in content or in its visuals -- the overall impact of systemic racism on minority communities. From the get-go, the "Luke Cage" trailer signals that this series will be something different.

At the very least, the closing image of Mike Colter's "Luke Cage" decked out in a hoodie reminiscent of the one Trayvon Martin was murdered by George Zimmerman for wearing gives one hope that it will.
