"Late Show" host Stephen Colbert briefly averted attention from GOP nominee Donald Trump and toward his opponent, Hillary Clinton, on Tuesday.

"Hillary Clinton had a rough time campaigning this weekend," Colbert said, referring to her minutes-long coughing fit in Cleveland on Monday:

Colbert offered Clinton "a quick note of advice — if people are questioning your health, madam, and you've got a terrible cough, don't do it straight into the mic."

He also noted the conspicuously timed FBI document dump pertaining to its investigation into the former-secretary of state's use of a private email server.

"One of the biggest revelations," he said, "is that Secretary Clinton didn't use just one smartphone in office as secretary of state, as she originally claimed. She used up to 13 different mobile devices in four years."

"Madam Secretary, tell the truth," he added. "Are you a crack dealer?"
