Sometimes swearing can help get the point across

New York senator Kristen Gillibrand spit fire during a speech at NYU’s Personal Democracy Forum on Friday morning. That fire involved dropping multiple F-bombs when it came to discussing Trump. Good for her.

“Has he kept his promises?” Gillibrand asked in reference to Trump. “No. Fuck no.”

As Gizmodo writer Hamilton Nolan pointed out, “It’s encouraging to hear more Democrats say ‘fuck.'”

As for the Democratic Party, on which the onus rests just as much to get us out of this mess, Gillibrand offered more realness, which admittedly came as a shocker. “Fundamentally, if we’re not helping people,” she said, “we should go the fuck home.”

Video hasn’t yet surfaced of her remarks. They should, though. If I were a political consultant (let’s pretend), I’d cut that up into a 2020 clip for her. I mean, it’s pretty clear where this is all headed, no?
