Sarah Huckabee Sanders so very desperately wants you to believe she bakes pies

On Thanksgiving, unassuming and completely normal housewife who totally doesn't lie to the American people for a living Sarah Huckabee Sanders tweeted a picture of a pie that she said she made against a white background.

Thinking it looked like a screencap of a basic baking website, which it did, journalist April D. Ryan called into question the veracity of the photo, tweeting back to Sanders that she wanted to see it on a table. And thus, #piegate began.

Wednesday night, Sanders shot back with heavy Twitter artillery for Christmas. The White House press corps holiday potluck is this week, for which Sanders says she baked pies, tweeting a new photo of picturesque ingredients on a wooden table and trolling Ryan by asking if she preferred hers with or without bourbon.

Sanders followed that up by Tweeting out play-by-play images of her really, truly, actually, please-believe-me making the baked goods for posterity's sake.

Ryan tweeted her satisfaction with the available evidence.

But, no, a few pie truthers on Twitter still weren't buying it.

It seems like you can’t make everyone happy, but at least one of the biggest political scandals of the holiday season, seems to be put to rest . . . for now. And so ends another busy day in the life of a 100-percent normal woman who does press, prays and bakes pies.
