One of the best known legal scholars in the country, Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz, brings his new and controversial book “The Case Against Impeaching Trump,” to “Salon Talks.” The professor ignites the debate over impeachment by explaining how the complex process works, as outlined in the Constitution, which he says has been largely ignored. Salon’s Andrew O’Hehir and D. Watkins will unpack the longtime Democrat and civil libertarian’s case and ask Dershowitz why he continues to defend President Trump.

Kimberly Reed, director and producer of the documentary “Dark Money,” will appear on “Salon Talks” to examine one of the biggest threats to American democracy: the influence of untraceable corporate money on elections. “Dark Money,” a 2018 Sundance Film Festival favorite and award winner, tells the story of the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision and why the soaring rise of dark money in political campaigns affects every voter, liberal or conservative.

Darnell Moore, a leader in the Black Lives Matter and LGBT movements, brings his personal story of growing up in Camden, New Jersey into the political conversations that have shaped his career as a journalist. His powerful new book, "No Ashes in the Fire: Coming of Age Black and Free in America," tells the frightening story of being nearly set on fire as a child and details his take on resilience and survival in a neglected, heavily policed and economically desperate neighborhood.
