But Ann Coulter's right-wing rantings have gotten so extreme in this, The Year of Trump, that she's managed to breakthrough and garner near weekly headlines even as the megalomaniac leading the Republican Party dominates media attention with one controversial remark after another.
This week, Coulter is out calling for the use of more nuclear weapons as President Obama becomes the first sitting U.S. president in history to visit Hiroshima, Japan, and she is throwing in a dash of birtherism for good measure.
"For someone 'born in Hawaii,' you'd think Obama would prefer visiting Pearl Harbor," the controversial conservative commentator wrote on Twitter after Obama visited the site of where the Unite States dropped a nuclear weapon during WWII on Friday:
Responding to the president's historic speech, calling for a permanent cessation on the use of nuclear weapons and end to nuclear proliferation, Coulter argued that if the United States is attacked in the future it should not hesitate to drop a nuclear bomb:
Of course, it has long been a conservative complaint that the president that they have worked tirelessly to delegitimize has actually been on a global "apology tour" since his first days in office. Coulter's birther spin is just the latest twist in right-wing Obama Derangement Syndrome that will surely only increase as Trump's general election campaign ramps up.
