One of Senator Bernie Sanders' biggest platforms for his 2020 presidential campaign is Medicare for All. The plan, according to his campaign website, would guarantee "healthcare to all people as a right." As a co-chair of Sen. Bernie Sanders' 2020 campaign, Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., joined "Salon Talks" to point out what most misunderstand about Bernie's Medicare for All plan and debunk fears around less choices.

"Current Medicare law says that you can have duplicative insurance. Under Medicare you can have supplemental insurance," Khanna explained to SalonTV's Dean Obeidallah. "It says we're gonna extend that to everyone and you can't have duplicative private health insurance, but if you want to go and buy a health insurance that's beyond, you can."

For Bernie Sanders, it's gonna be Medicare for All and making sure that we move to single-payer." He said, "Does that mean that if Congress and Senate sent him a bill that says we're gonna have a public option or we're gonna extend Medicare to 55 that he's gonna veto it? Of course not, but he's gonna fight for the ideal."
