Deirdre Sugiuchi spent her adolescence in a White evangelical facility for so-called troubled teens and recently completed her Christian nationalist reform school memoir, "Unreformed." Her essays and interviews have been featured in Dame, Huffington Post, Religion Dispatches, Shondaland, the anthology "Empty the Pews: Stories of Leaving the Church" and other places. Sugiuchi is a contributing writer at Electric Literature. She lives in Athens, Georgia, where she served as a public school librarian for over a decade.
