Rhyming five-line silliness from Salon readers

Published October 24, 2012 7:35PM (EDT)

With less than two weeks before election day, Salon's reader poets sized up the shape of the race:

On Obama and his use of drones,

You’d think he and Romney were clones.

Their constant agreeing,

Left progressives fleeing,

Like horses from modern war zones.

This last GOP incarnation,

Depends on linguistic conflation:

Preventive suppression

And self-deportation;

Plus acute vagina obsession.

Ana Maria Haar

Chicago

When debating between Red and Blue,

A most crucial thing you must do:

Bar from the scene,

Anyone Green.

God forbid folks should hear something new.

Brooklyn, N.Y.
