Newly "plant-based" Beyonce wears fur to a vegan restaurant

Three days into her new diet, the pop star committed a vegan no-no

Just three days after Jay Z announced that she'd be joining him on a 22-day vegan challenge, Beyonce was called out by The Daily Mail for sporting a "£2,915 [$4,759] Christopher Kane wool-blend parka with real fur collar." Even worse: she was headed to a vegan restaurant.

Real vegans insist that the vegan lifestyle prohibits any use of animal products, including wearing them. By that logic, you can't wear a fur coat (or suede boots) and call yourself a vegan.

So far, Beyonce and Jay Z have only committed to 22 days of animal-free living. Some really real vegans insist that anyone who gives up animal products and then changes their mind was, retroactively, never a vegan to begin with. So maybe we should just call the duo what they are: two celebrities on a fad diet.
