Helaina Hovitz graduated from the New School in May with a BA in journalism. She is an experienced journalist who has written for the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune, among other publications. She is currently working on her book, "Recovery Effort," about 16 children living and going to

school in Lower Manhattan and growing up in the aftermath of 9/11.
