Fidelity pledge drive

How far will supporters of the Federal Marriage Amendment go to defend the sacred institution in their own lives? As long as they're legislating morality, state and federal lawmakers who back FMA should pledge their own marital fidelity, the Rocky Mountain Progressive Network says, just so we all know their conduct matches their rhetoric.

The network distributed a Fidelity Pledge in Colorado to state and federal lawmakers who publicly support FMA. "We call on these conservative lawmakers who feel it's appropriate to restrict the private rights of individuals in the name of protecting the institution of marriage to lead by example and quickly sign and demonstrate that they uphold fidelity in their own lives," the group says.

Maybe it's time for a national fidelity pledge drive.
