The New York Daily News reports that filmmaker George Butler, who did the Arnold Schwarzenegger documentary “Pumping Iron,” will make a non-fiction movie on John Kerry. “Butler just got the rights to make a nonfiction movie out of Douglas Brinkley’s bestseller ‘Tour of Duty: John Kerry and the Vietnam War.’ Like the book, the flick will chronicle Kerry’s metamorphosis from soldier to anti-war activist, and obviously, it has to be done before November…” (It’s the second to last item in the column.)
