Before and after

Ryan Lizza at The New Republic's Campaign Journal does everyone a nice service today by showing what a John Kerry quote on tax cuts looked like before and after Bush-Cheney '04 got to it. The moral: Don't believe every press release you read.

What is Kerry's position on tax cuts? (The real one, not the Bush-Cheney version.) From the AP today: "Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said Wednesday he will ask Americans earning more than $200,000 a year to pay the taxes they paid under President Clinton and pledged to retain the Bush tax cuts for the middle class and even add to them."
