George Bush the elder is doing his part to build anticipation for Michael Moore’s film Fahrenheit 9/11, calling the filmmaker “a slimeball” for “viciously attacking” his son and using Barbara Bush’s words before the war against her. (“Why should we hear about body bags, and deaths? … Why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that? And watch [my son] suffer.”)
“[My son] served with honor, and to get knocked down by this guy, ” 41 said about Moore. “But you got to put up with it. That’s what I’d say to [my son].”
