Follow the House race horserace

Published July 14, 2004 2:19PM (EDT)

For those of you not satisfied with just following the presidential horserace, a new website -- ourcongress.org -- will give you something else to obsess about, the battle for Congress. The site is clear about its agenda -- it wants the Democrats to retake the House -- but what it lacks in objectivity, it makes up for in effort. The site's best feature is an interactive map that allows you to click on a state and view its congressional district map and writeups on close elections. There is also a list of the most competitive House races on the front page of the site, which links off to district-specific information. So next time you're wondering how the Florida's awkwardly gerrymandered 22nd Congressional district might go in 2004, ourcongress.org might be able to help.
