Los Angeles Times: National Guard families to greet Bush in Las Vegas today, confront him about Iraq.

Washington Post: Bush typically criticizes Kerry for proposing "$2 trillion" in new spending with no way to pay for it but tax hikes. The price tag on Bush's proposals as laid out in his convention speech: $3 trillion.

Reuters: Despite court order to the contrary, Jeb Bush's elections chief says Ralph Nader can appear on Florida ballot. She blames Hurricane Ivan.

New York Times: Under Bush's environmental agenda, "birds would have oil rigs as neighbors in Alaska and be greeted by Navy jets simulating carrier takeoffs and landings in North Carolina."
