Gore to Florida for Kerry

Published October 21, 2004 9:27PM (EDT)

ABC News' Jake Tapper is reporting Al Gore will travel to the scene o' the 2000 crime this weekend to campaign for Kerry. This comes after the news that Bill Clinton will make his long-awaited post-surgery stumping debut in Philadelphia with Kerry on Monday, and ABC says there are plans in the works for Clinton to campaign again for Kerry in Florida on Tuesday. President Bush will counter with his own celebrity stumper later next week as an until-now reluctant booster Arnold Schwarzenegger reportedly will travel to Ohio on Bush's behalf. It's clearly time for the big guns on the campaign trail. What other campaign cliches can we come up with here? They're pulling out all the stops. The gloves are coming off. You get the idea.
