Daily Download: "Take Off Your Clothes," Morningwood, demo

Morningwood is another band appearing at SXSW this year. (Last time I was looking for this band's Web page I thoughtlessly typed in www.morningwood.com, and was taken to a site selling the "Ah! Wake Clock": "The way a man was meant to wake up! Begin each day with the exciting sounds of a beautiful woman's pleasure.") This young Brooklyn band, fronted by 22-year-old wildwoman Chantal Claret, is about to open some dates for the Kaiser Chiefs, who I think they will blow off the stage. They play simple, brash rock music, and they always aim for the genitals. On "Take Off Your Clothes," the band's anthem, Claret sounds like a cat in heat.
