We wondered a little earlier this afternoon if the news about Edith Clement weren't a bit of a bluff -- an effort by the Bush administration to get the opposition party focused for a day on the wrong nominee.
Might we be right?
ABC News says it's hearing from a source that Clement is not, in fact, the judge Bush will nominate to the court tonight. Similarly, CNN reported a few minutes ago that it is being "waved off" of the Clement story.
