This campaign ad race, at least, seems to be following
the early pattern: heavy-handed incumbent Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., facing off a quicker, faster-on-his feet, and much funnier Ned Lamont. The last Lamont spot was harsh but clever. It prompted this conventional attack ad from Lieberman; Lamont's response is below that. You decide.
