Katherine Harris is keeping tabs

The Washington Post discovers the real reason for her ill-fated Senate run.

Assuming that she isn't just completely delusional -- and we're not ruling out the possibility -- we've had a hard time figuring out why Katherine Harris has stayed in the race for the U.S. Senate in Florida. She's down, as she always has been, by more than 20 points in the polls, and her erratic behavior during the campaign has transformed her from a 50 percent hero to a 100 percent nut.

So why is she still running? The Washington Post seems to have found the answer: Harris is gathering material for a book about all the people who have wronged her. "I've been writing it all year," Harris tells the Post's Libby Copeland. "It's going to be a great book."
