As Rudy Giuliani begins his long, drawn-out pander, in an effort to reassure the far right that he'd be a suitable presidential candidate, his political past -- pandering to centrist New Yorkers, that is -- is beginning to haunt him. How to square this November 1989 appearance before "Women's Coalition for Giuliani" with his current promise to appoint "strict constructionists" to the federal bench?
