George W. Bush on Matthew Dowd, the former Bush-Cheney strategist who has grown increasingly unhappy with the man he helped to reelect as he has watched his own son prepare to deploy to Iraq: "I have not talked with Matthew about his concerns. Nevertheless, I understand his anguish over war. I understand it's an emotional issue for Matthew, as it is [for] a lot of other people in this country."
