And now, for news that really matters

Another great scoop by Salon's Mark Benjamin has Barack Obama asking the White House about its Veterans Affairs leadership picks.

Enough Imus. Whenever I get a little bit down, I think about the great work Mark Benjamin does for Salon, and I feel better. Sen. Barack Obama no doubt agrees with me: He sent a letter to President Bush asking why he's nominating Brig. Gen. Michael J. Kussman as undersecretary for health at the Department of Veterans Affairs, even though Benjamin's reporting shows "Kussman knew of serious problems at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as early as 2004." More to come.
