Is Bush losing the military?

A new poll shows that the Iraq war is just as unpopular with military families.

In a new Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll, 60 percent of Americans whose families members have served in Iraq or Afghanistan say that the Iraq war hasn't been worth the cost. And among members of military families more generally, 39 percent say they trust Democrats more than Republicans to do a better job of handling issues important to them, compared with 35 percent who say they trust the Republicans more.

On both questions, the answers from military families are substantially similar to those provided by Americans overall.
