Remember Karl Lagerfeld's line for H&M or Isaac Mizrahi for Target? This year's fashion week showcased many designers who have gotten a brand boost by working the "masstige" market. Creating stylish lines for stores like Payless (Abaete and Bush-girls dresser Lela Rose), Uniqlo (Philip Lim) and Target (Erin Fetherston, Benaz Sarafpour and Alice Temperley) has helped young designers establish themselves.
