My apartment is on a busy Brooklyn street. The trucks start clanging at 5:15 a.m. and the noise continues all day long. Katharine Mieszkowski writes more about noise pollution and how the level of sound is confusing birds and literally killing us.

In the video, I check in with other New Yorkers to see how the high-decibel din affects them.
