Salon in Denver: Previewing the convention

Salon's Rebecca Traister and Caitlin Shamberg report from the scene that was the Pepsi Center on the eve of the convention's opening day.

Published August 25, 2008 4:30PM (EDT)

On Sunday, my Salon colleagues Rebecca Traister and Caitlin Shamberg (she's behind the camera) went down to Denver's Pepsi Center, site of the Democratic convention, to check out the preparations on the eve of the first real day of the convention. They came back with some really great video that I thought I'd share with you all here. I'll probably be heading over to the Pepsi Center myself a little later, and if I do go I'll let you all know what the scene looks like from there today.
