A book-keeping note

About comments, and Sawadogo

Published September 18, 2008 4:23PM (EDT)

Two apologies to make:

1)The press of recent events and Salon's demand for 24x7 coverage had the unfortunate side-effect of forcing me to abandon monitoring the letters this week. Thus the lack of moderation. I will read everything, and plan to be much more prompt today. But if you're wondering why your brilliant post pointing out all the flaws in my recent analyses of what's going on did not get a red star -- that's why.

2)For similar reasons I have not responded to the gratifyingly large number of people who want to help Yacouba Sawadogo. That is also on the to-do list for today.
