The producer of the Fox News show that ran a chyron describing Michelle Obama as "Obama's baby mama" has reportedly been fired, and moved on to CNBC.

Back in June, thanks to an eagle-eyed reader, I reported that a Fox News show had dubbed Michelle Obama "Obama's baby mama." That report developed into a controversy covered throughout the blogosphere and in the press at large, and Fox eventually had to put out a statement from one of its executives, who said, "A producer on the program exercised poor judgment in using this chyron during the segment."

Now, the producer responsible for that show has been fired, the blog Chickaboomer reports. (Hat tip to Michael Calderone.) Chickaboomer also says the producer, Jessica Herzberg, has moved on to CNBC.

A spokeswoman for Fox did not respond to requests for comment.
