DNC ad: First 100 days "Foundation for change"

Democrats work to set the narrative about the early days of the Obama administration.

The Democratic National Committee is out with a new ad marking President Obama's first 100 days in office. As the president will hit that mark on Wednesday, this ad appears to be an attempt to affect the media narrative as reporters and editors work on stories about it. Titled "Foundation for Change," the spot is scheduled to air on local television in Washington, D.C., and on national cable, another hint that the real targets of the ad are opinion-makers.

It's a smart strategy, as the predictable flood of coverage of what is, let's be honest, a basically meaningless date, has already begun, and if Democrats can't control it, it could end up being a long week for the White House.
